Who doesn’t want to live the life of their dreams?
I assume that on some level, at least most people do. Or so they think…
Of course there are false beliefs to let go of; various blockages, obstacles, and balances that must be resolved in order for this Dreamlife to manifest itself.
Ordinarily, this process takes time. Sometimes years, or even decades.
But what if this time taking thing is simply another false belief that can be dropped?
What if things could happen very quickly?
What if… What if…?
For a long time, I have believed that healing can be instantaneous; career and relationship issues can change just as quickly. It seems like magic when this happens suddenly, because usually the time whole “time thing” comes into play.
Often, we are even reassured by those you care about us that “these things take time…“
What if these well-meaning statements program us for a longer timeline?
In my own physical healing process (Scoliosis in this case), I did this kind of on purpose, because moving bones around quickly proved to be quite uncomfortable (read “painful”).
Changing up your life situation quickly can also be uncomfortable, sometimes even scary. I guess maybe that’s why we get to choose the direction we want to take.
Unfortunately, these choices are most often unconsciously. This is why I believe it’s so valuable to do your inner work.
It allows the scales to fall from your eyes so you can “see” more clearly… Make better, more informed decisions.
How do I know your Dream Life can fall into place very quickly?
Because recently, my life totally turned upside down. So much so that I sort of dropped out of most of my activities.
Doing the work I do, helping other healers to heal themselves (my life mission and purpose) affords me the opportunity to discern and resolve my own stuff, too.
So basically, I am constantly working on my own issues.
And that’s a good thing.
And with me doing all this self-improvement work, I can become disappointed and frustrated – just like anyone else – when appearances tell me I’m not making the progress I’d like.
Back to my life falling apart…
It started rather innocently.
I ran into an old love interest at a meditation conference. It was fun catching up on the three decades we haven’t seen each other, and we decided to stay in contact.
(Evidently, this decision opened some sort of Opportunity Door.)
Two weeks later another seemingly mundane event:
The Apple Store folks broke my phone while they were switching out the battery. They graciously offered me a brand new phone to replace my now-useless old one. (Score!!)
Really awesome, thanks, Apple!
Unfortunately, this generosity led to a glitch at my former cell phone company, and my phone communication became a no go.
And I work mostly over the phone.
Leading to a HUUUGE scramble to find workarounds for communication!
So even though it may have appeared to some that I had dropped my healing business, I was still working at a slower pace, because SO much was going on in my life.
And then when stuff REALLY started coming apart at the seams, I was pretty dismayed…
It took me a couple of days to realize this was Kali (Hindu goddess of Destruction) in action:
The old must be destroyed to make way for the NEW.
All well and good, I thought. But, everything was happening SO fast. Too fast…
Suddenly I realized I was shutting down my dreams. Situations I had wanted and hoped for for 40+ years were magically falling into place.
And I was whining?
Quickly changing my tune, and with tears of joy running down my cheeks, I said out loud,
“yes, Universe. I say yes.
Yes, yes, yes! Bring it!
And it has.
My life is TOTALLY different from the way it was a mere few months ago. In so many wonderful ways!
What is the power to say YES I don’t allow the Creator to give you what it is that you desire.
Change can be scary sometimes, sure.
